New Dummy GTA IV Box Art

Rockstar have recently shipped new 'dummy' (read: not final) box arts to various retailers. The new boxes show the GTA IV logo over artwork, one of which we haven't actually seen before.

This is the first bit of marketing we've seen from Rockstar for about 3 months, at least on the GTA front, so hopefully it's a sign that things are starting to pick up again now. So stay tuned as we'll bring you news of any further information or new media released. Below are some pictures of the boxes, and just to reiterate, these are official, but they aren't final. For those of you wondering when we'll see the final box art, going by previous reveals, we generally see it approximately 3 months before the release of the game itself. Now we don't have an official release date yet, but we'd guess around as early as December or as late as February.

Me neither, it would make a change from the normal layout carried over from game to game. Looking forward to the actual boxart, I should think it won't differ too much from these.

Yeah the boxarts are usually very similar in all GTA games, having something different would be nice but I ain't fussed eaither way.

Hmmm... Those are nice Box Arts, but it's kind of plain... And we've been seeing those images for months. <_<

If those were official... why would there be three? :huh:

Yeah, I know, it's just for retailers to help advertise and etc.

to be honest i actually like that cover i like the actual one aswell but its a bit plain, dont mind any of those covers.

They look quite good actually. I don't really want the GTAIV Boxart to be similar to the GTAIII series. They all got boring seeing them all the time.

I like this style, personally. I don't want to stick with the same style like GTA always have used, so something new would do well, and it would be good to get use to as well.

I like those. A new style to the GTA boxarts. I like the first boxart best its pretty cool. I heard that IV will most likely be out in March 08' so about 3 months before that is December. But were not sure yet.

These are alright. But I personally prefer the old fashioned ones, sure GTA IV is supposed to be all new and stuff but I hope they stick to the same box art.
