Yep, it's true. Rockstar Games has just announced that they are releasing the expansion packs for PS3 and PC.
We are happy to announce the much anticipated release of Grand Theft Auto: Episodes from Liberty City for the PlayStation®3 computer entertainment system and Games for Windows® - LIVE on March 30, 2010. For the first time, PlayStation 3 and Games for Windows - LIVE players will have the opportunity to experience the last two thrilling chapters of the Grand Theft Auto IV saga.
The two action packed episodes will also be available for download on the PlayStation Network and Games for Windows® LIVE on March 30, 2010. Each episode boasts the same detailed and immersive Liberty City we all know and love. Games for Windows - LIVE players can enjoy 32-player multiplayer matches and an advanced video editor, and all fans will have the chance to once again listen to the dulcet tones of Liberty City Radio.

Now this is what I call epic... I guess I don't need a 360 anymore for TLAD and Gay Tony, huh?
Now I feel like an smug asshole for telling all those PS3 fans that they'd never see this. Not that I regret it.
A little late, perhaps, but excellent news for PC & PS3 gamers nonetheless. Good spot Rem.
YES!!!!
Thank you !!!
Imma need a 0 by March because I'm buying this with God of War 3!
http://www.thegtapla..._0entry373049 Well Excuse me MrLamaLama but
wat
Now I feel asinine for spending all that money on a 360 JUST so I could play the Episodes...couldn't they have announced it just a little bit sooner? (Anyway I'll still play them on PS3, owning both versions & consoles I habve determined the IV performs a bit better on PS3.)
wat
I made this topic in the IV section and MrLlamaLlama locked it and said
"Errr, yeah... can we keep discussion on the official news thread from now on? "
But I can't Start a new topic in this section.
It seemed that the news you posted in the IV forums was true, thus allowing any news poster to make it a official post. Better for it to be in the News section of the forum as it will look more "Official". Which it is.
And you can't start a new topic here because only staff can, unfortunately.
Hope this clears things up.

Precisely. Keep discussion in here. This is a thread. Discuss in it. Do not create a new thread. This is the news section. You cannot create threads here. Threads here appear as news on the front page.
I didn't even see your post in the IV forum.
I bought my 360 just to play Episodes From Liberty City. Well I guess I just learned a valuable life lesson, have patience and spend your money wisely, in this case buying the 360 was a good investment, but not something I needed.
Back on topic, I totally did not expect this news, but a game coming from Rockstar I new they would not let there fans down. Love you guys R*!
It's news, that's all over the internet. For all you know rem could have found it and posted without seeing maco's post. It's news of a game release, not tutankhamun's fucking casket.
I didn't see his post, as I said earlier. People need to stop caring about their e-penis, it really doesn't matter.
I'm very, very pissed off by this. I agree with Slyde, this was very late. I can't believe this, well at least this will keep all of the moaning noobs off of GTAF and YouTube.
But at least I get to enjoy the good ol' Multiplayer games from it though! But the only thing that's a mystery is if its coming out for the disc, or download...
I actually found it within the first 10 minutes it was announced
But I was too busy sayin "I told you so" to the 360 fanboys at GTAForums
I'm really more happy to see the morons that said EFLC will never come to the PS3 or PC feel stupid as fuck.
Its all business, and that's how I always saw it. Plus R*'s history, exclusive for them always means timed.
Yeah 2 years and we get DLC is just too lame.
I wonder how MS are feeling.
Good though, im getting a PS3 in May.
I didn't expect this at all, it's a very nice surprise to log on to. I'll definitely buy this, I haven't got CTW so far for PSP, doesn't really appeal, but this looks really great fun. I don't care how old the game is, PS3 owners should look forward to buying it.
wow finally!
so i suppose the contract between MS and R* is over isn't it? this is a very exciting news
Right, so it'll be coming out on PS3 as an ordinary game, requiring no downloading or anything like that? I'm not online with my PS3 so I can only buy ordinary games that have no on-line requirements to run.
If that is the case, then I'm bloody happy with that!!

Yep, It'll be on a disc just like the 360 version was, as well as each individual episode being available as a download from either the PSN or Games for Windows Live.
I googled this but couldn't find it. So, how many Achievements were there for both DLC in the EFLC game? Because GTA4 was patched not long ago to include trophies for when it comes out, so presumeably that can 'attach' onto GTA4 somehow, otherwise the trophies wouldn't be in there. The patch added 15 bronze trophies, 5 for TLAD and 10 for BOGT, will there be more in the standalone disc or not? The trophies don't sound too interesting currently.
