Rockstar Games have just announced that Chinatown Wars will be appearing on Apple's iPhone and iPod touch later this year.

There's no details on the game, other than the fact it is being developed by Rockstar Leeds, and that it is expected to be released around the same time as the PSP version.

Sam Houser, Founder of Rockstar Games said:

"Chinatown Wars is a perfect match for the iPhone and iPod touch, we are very excited to bring this incredibly ambitious version of Liberty City, with this level of detail and immersive gameplay on Apple's new gaming platforms."

I think that the iPhone version will have many complaints for people who have extremely large hands. But I might download the App, if its worth buying. :)

I think when you are driving on the iPod version I think you have to tilt the screen in axis.

ah yeah similar to NFS. but i still think it will be fail.

more of a gimmick like, it'll be fun for maybe 20minutes, i know i would just get pissed off at it. chinatown wars was already enough of a pain to play on the DS (and on emulator too...)

Awesome! seems like Rockstar's really into making GTA games for handheld devices

Another reason why to buy an Apple product ( Steam probably wouldn't like the sound of this knowing him hating the Apple company :P no offense )

It would be awesome if it had a third person view rather than a bird's eye view
