The popular modding tool OpenIV received a long awaited update today, with the release of version 0.9.2 of the software. This latest version gives modders the opportunity to edit WDR and WDD model files, meaning we can now expect ped mods for GTA IV and EfLC. The usability and stability of the program is also said to be much better, along with a number of minor bug fixes improving the general functionality.

So keep an eye for lots of new mods being released in the coming weeks, below is a little teaser video, download links can be found at the bottom of this post.

Well, at least they're making epic progress with the formats.

A bit off topic, Is here a decent community created multiplayer mod out for Gta4? Something like MTA/Samp?

I don't know what more they can improve... I mean does this tool do anything other than importing / exporting and creating IMG files for IV?

What IV needs is a tool like GGMM only more advanced, something that lets you mod every file associated with a certain vehicle, cause finding and modding every single one is a pain...

Actually it does the job of several utilities in one package, rather than having separate apps for opening archives and editing textures/models.
